Pakistan are eventually into the semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 after overpowering Bangladesh in their last match of the Super 12. Their voyage in the marquee event has been highly surprising since the first two losses against India and Zimbabwe, respectively, almost reduced their chances of reaching the next stage.
Nevertheless, the three consecutive wins against the Netherlands, South Africa, and Bangladesh, respectively, somehow buffed their chances of being in the semifinal. Not only that but also the ifs and buts scenarios almost fell in their blessing.
Earlier today, Pakistan encountered Bangladesh and were forced to chase. They yielded a target of 128 runs following the ineffective batting of the Tigers. The major honour goes to a four-wicket haul from Shaheen Shah Afridi, following two scalps for Shadab Khan and one for Iftikhar Ahmed.
While batting, Mohammad Haris and Shan Masood turned out to be the vital cogs, playing a vital role in Pakistan’s capability to reach the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 semifinal.
