Match 29, Tarouba, September 06, 2020, 07:30 PM

Trinbago Knight Riders beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 9 wickets

That's it from this game but don't go anywhere as the last game of the round robin stage of CPL 2020 is coming shortly to you. St Lucia Zouks take on Jamaica Tallawahs which begins at 1415 local (1815 GMT). Do join us for that game. Till then, take care and cheers!
Kieron Pollard, Knight Riders skipper, says they did not imagine the performance would turn out this way. Mentions they wanted to be good at all the games of the tournament and that worked for them. Mentions the guys performed very well. Pollard also says that their first job is to qualify and then they need to execute it. Mentions that he has a nice idea of what our combinations will be now. Pollard also says it is going to be a shootout on Tuesday.
Rayad Emrit, Patriots skipper, says it has been a tough tournament for them. Adds they need to learn from this tournament and do well next time. Mentions it is good to have 11 wickets but it is difficult to digest the way they have played. Emrit also says he tried everything he could do but will try to make a comeback in the next season. Ends by saying I will have to learn lot as a leader.
Fawad Ahmed is named the Man of the Match. He starts by saying that he is happy with his performance. Adds that the team played very well and it was a completer performance from them. Mentions the guys performed well without their best players. Ahmed also says taking wickets gives him a lot of confidence. Mentions winning 10 out of the 10 matches is exceptional.
Nothing much to talk about St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' bowling. It is not their fault as their bowlers did not have enough runs on board to play with. Defending 78 was never going to be easy against a team who are on the roll in the tournament. Earlier in the day, after opting to bat, St. Kitts and Nevis folded for a mere 77 runs courtesy a 4-wicket haul from Knight Riders bowler Fawad Ahmed. He was ably supported by other bowlers who tightened the screws on the Patriots' batsmen to get the bowled out for a paltry total. Stay tuned for Captain quotes and also to see who is the Man of the Match as the presentation is not far away.
As mentioned earlier, it was a cakewalk for the Knight Riders as they won their 10th game on the trot. What a performance they have given in this edition of CPL 2020. A perfect balanced team we could say as their batsmen and their bowlers both worked in tandem to win every game for their side. Today was not different as Webster and Jangoo came out to bat chasing just 78 runs. Jangoo though fell but Webster ensured that the team crosses the winning line and to give him company was Tim Seifert as he hit the winning runs to seal the game in some style.

DRINKS! Nothing much to say as the inevitable for Patriots is not far away. Just 15 runs needed for Knight Riders to seal another win and remain unbeaten through out the league stage. Just the thing is how long will it take for them to cross over the line. Let's see if they take more 5 overs or lesser to seal the deal.
