Mitchell Marsh, the victorious skipper of Australia, says that he is happy with the way the boys played. He says that Abbott did well, and Zampa too was amazing. Further says that there are a lot of positives to take from the game. On his dismissal in this game, Marsh admits that he needs to put that reverse sweep in the locker for now. Is excited to have an opportunity to win yet another series for Australia.
Marnus Labuschagne is the Player of the Match for his excellent knock. He says that he is happy to be back in the team and score some runs. He adds that he is a bit disappointed by the way he got out but he is overall happy with the performance. He further says that the World Cup means a lot to him and he will keep on giving his best.
Temba Bavuma, the skipper of South Africa, says that Australia were just wonderful in this game and that was a mammoth total to chase. Adds that his team got it wrong from the very beginning and will look to improve on it. Further says that the hosts will need to put this behind them quickly and improve to bounce back in their next game. Ends by saying that the Proteas will look to play their best cricket in the remaining games.
... Stay tuned for the Presentations ...
Earlier in the game, the South African bowlers had a hard outing as the Aussie batters posted a mammoth total of 392 runs on the board. David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne both scored a ton whilst Josh Inglis scored a half-century. Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the bowlers for the Proteas as he picked up a four-fer.
The South African batters started on a brisk note but just couldn't keep the momentum going. Once Quinton de Kock fell, wickets fell like a deck of cards and there was no turning back for them. Both the openers were dismissed a few runs shy of their half-century. They picked up momentum in the middle for a while when David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen stitched up a fine partnership but they were both dismissed for 49 runs.
Well, that was an all-round performance from the Aussies. They won by a mammoth margin of 123 runs! They just never let the South African batters settle in the game. They kept on picking wickets whenever a good partnership was brewing for them. Adam Zampa picked up a four-fer and was certainly the pick of the bowlers for the Aussies. Aaron Hardie and Nathan Ellis picked up two wickets each and were economical too. Sean Abbott picked up the remaining two tailenders in a jiffy and registered the victory for them.

OUT! PLUMB IN FRONT! Sean Abbott finishes the job here! He bowls this full again and around middle, keeping a bit low, Tabraiz Shamsi hops up to flick it away, but plays down the wrong line and misses getting hit on the pads right in front of the stumps. There is an appeal for LBW, and up goes the finger. AUSTRALIA WIN BY 123 RUNS & LEADS 2-0 IN THE SERIES!
Tabraiz Shamsi is the last batter in.

OUT! TIMBER! Sean Abbott gets a wicket now! The defense of Anrich Nortje has been broken here. Abbott serves this a touch fuller, on middle, skids through and angles in, Anrich Nortje gets hurried and is late to put his bat down in time as the ball goes through to shatter the stumps. Australia on the verge of victory now!
