Karachi Kings beat Quetta Gladiators by 7 wickets
That's it from this game then! Another game follows and it is a big one, Lahore will be taking on Islamabad. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, goodbye and take care.
Shan Masood says bowling first would have been better as there was moisture. Adds it was important to stop the losing momentum and they now need to continue to do well. Mentions the bowlers were up to the mark and they now want to take one game at a time.
Hasan Ali, MAN OF THE MATCH, says the conditions aren't suitable for the pacers but if you hit the right lines and lengths, there is something in it for the bowler. Mentions, as a bowling unit, they wanted wickets upfront and the ball was doing a bit and they wanted to take advantage. Adds he is satisfied with how he is doing for the side.
Rilee Rossouw says Karachi had the better conditions. The wicket did a lot in the first innings. Mentions they did not assess the conditions quickly. Adds, he felt it was a 200 run wicket but 160 would have been a good score.
Shoaib Malik says he is pleased with a win, it was needed for them. Adds they treat every game as a final. Mentions he is pleased to contribute with bat and ball. Ends by saying coming down the wicket has been his strength and he'll keep going with it.
Can't really blame the Quetta bowlers, they just did not have enough on the board and also, the wicket got a lot easier to bat on for Karachi. Hosein, Abrar and Amir did get a wicket but they needed a lot more of these. Quetta though will be disappointed with how they fielded. They just weren't up for this one. A below par performance by them.
Quite a dominating display from Karachi. To be honest, their bowlers set it up for them by bowling Quetta out for a low score. They lost Masood early but Vince and Tim counter-attacked and steadied things. Vince fell but Tim Seifert and Malik took them to the brink of victory. Tim fell one short of a half ton but Malik and Irfan Khan ensured there were no more wickets to fall and took their side over the line.
