That is it from this game! The action continues as Hyderabad will take on Bangalore on the 18th of this month at 7.30 pm IST (1400 GMT). Another crunch game coming up. Join us earlier for the build-up. Cheers!
Rilee Rossouw is the Player of the Match. He says the team management backed him to play his game. Adds it was a good wicket and it suits their game. Mentions the momentum was with them when he came out to bat and the openers had laid a good foundation. Admits they saw the game is not over until the last ball and ends by applauding the way Liam Livingstone played.
David Warner says it was a bad fielding performance. Shares it was a good wicket to bat on and they backed their strength. Credits the way Prithvi Shaw and Rilee Rossouw played. Tells they wanted consistency at home venues but there are little things which have not gone their way.
Shikhar Dhawan says they should have taken early wickets with the ball swinging early on. Adds there was hope till the last over as Liam Livingstone played superbly but unfortunately it didn't happen for them. Admits his decision to bowl spin in the last over backfired. Shares that they gave away too many runs at the backend which shifted the momentum Delhi's way. Mentions their bowlers didn't bowl in the right areas and it hurts them. Tells he knew the ball will swing in the second innings but they didn't start well.
Presentation time...
Livingstone delivered but not Punjab! Even luck was on their side but it was not just their night! Punjab lost Shikhar Dhawan early on and with the ball swinging dearly, they didn't have the best start. Atharva Taide held things though and once Liam Livingstone joined him, both made most of the freebies and lifelines given to them. It could have been a lot different had one of their power hitters, Jitesh Sharma, Shahrukh Khan or Sam Curran hung on with Livingstone till the end. Punjab lost momentum with the ball in the final three overs where they gave away plenty of runs and that proved to be costly. In the end, Delhi played the perfect party-spoilers job here.
Punjab needed two points badly but now they are almost at the exit door. Delhi could have wrapped this game very early. They dropped a couple of catches, had a couple of run out chances missed and a few no-balls at the wrong time stretched this game. Delhi though did well to keep taking wickets from one end despite fireworks from Livingstone. It was always going to be tough to defend with dew out there. However, they held on to their nerve in crunch moments to pick up a win.
What an entertaining match! Liam Livingstone was very new to the crease when he was dropped off Kuldeep Yadav by Anrich Nortje. Who would have thought that Livingstone would go on to take the game right till the last over! One of the most dramatic matches of this season but can only say, well played Liam Livingstone.

A full toss, outside off and Livingstone has missed it. He swings and misses. He has hit a couple of full toss away but not this time. That's the end surely.

NO BALL AND A SIX! What is happening here? David Warner rushes to the umpire and has a long chat. A full toss, outside off and Livingstone hammers it out of the ground towards cover. It was a waist-height full toss. Delhi no doubt reviews it but to no avail as it will be a no ball. Free Hit next. Livingstone is not giving up. He has got his no ball.

Fuller and on middle, Livingstone plays it to long on. He has missed the plot here, should have taken a single here.
