Dolphins beat Knights by 4 wickets
That is it from this game! We have a double-header on Sunday also. It will start with Cape Cobras taking on the Titans in the first game. Do join us for that at 1000 local (0800 GMT). Till then, take care and cheers!
Keshav Maharaj, Dolphins skipper, is named the Bowler of the Day. He starts by saying that he is happy with the team's performance. Adds that the boys bowled well to restrict the Knights. Mentions that the batsmen did well to chase this total. Credits the team to win it with 2 overs to spare. Further says that they wanted to be clinical and it paid off for them. Maharaj says that he is happy with his bowling and it is good to contribute towards the team.
Pite van Biljon, Knights skipper, is named the Batsman of the Day. He starts by saying that he is very disappointed. On being asked about dehydration, van Biljon says that he is feeling better now. Mentions that they did not pick wickets upfront and that put pressure on them. Further says they will look to do better in their next game. Adds that after being 21/4, they did well to reach to 144. Mentions that you need to take your chances and that cost them the game.
The bowling was good by the Knights! However, it were the overs from Kruger and Snyman which cost them. They needed everybody to bowl well but that was not the case.
The chase though wasn't all that easy as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. A few of their batters did get off to starts but none could go on and make it into a significant score. They were in a spot of bother at 86 for 5 but a crucial stand between Zondo and Frylinck has taken them over the line.
A comfortable win in the end for the Dolphins! Yes, there were some nervy moments in the game for them but it was the coolness and calmness of Frylinck and Zondo which has taken them over the line.
