Rassie van der Dussen, Man of the Match. He says happy to contribute to the team. Tells the pitch helped the bowlers but he just got used the conditions and tried to take it deep. Reckons on a pitch like this it is important to execute the plans.
Shadab Khan says the pitch was a bit soft in the second innings but they were hopeful to chase this down. Adds they need to build some partnerships and also improve in the field. On Munro, he is enjoying his cricket and it's good for the team. On Naseem Shah, he is doing well after the injury and has been bowling well in the past few matches.
...Presentation next...
If and only if the top order had contributed a bit, Islamabad United could have snatched a victory here. Only one batter ended with a double digit score in the top 7 and that tells you the story. If not for Faheem Ashraf, the curtains would have come down a long time again. Credit to Faheem though to put on a fight and to take the game so deep. No one bet at the halfway mark but Faheem Ashraf was very close to doing the impossible.
Lahore Qalandars have finally won a match. It did came closer than we thought but they have finally done it. It was not easy though for them. Earlier they lost the top order for not a lot. Rassie van der Dussen played a fabulous knock and Shaheen Afridi too played a fine cameo. The bowlers were right on the money later on. Lahore Qalandars took four wickets inside the powerplay and 7 around the halfway mark but United's tail wagged a bit longer than they would have liked but Lahore Qalandars didn't sweat much.
