We have the final game left now! Trinbago Knight Riders vs St Lucia Zouks. A captain leading from the front, with all boxes ticked against a Midas skipper, who somehow manages to get the best out of his unit, in the absence of superstars. Cannot wait for that final. Tough luck to both Jamaica and Guyana - underperforming on a big day. That is all we have from the semi-finals' day! Join us on Thursday, 10th September, 2020 at 10 am local (1400 GMT) for all the action from the final match of the tournament. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
Victorious St Lucia Zouks captain, Daren Sammy offers his commiserations to Chris Green, for missing out on a final where they have been for so many times. On the message to his own team, he says that this is not what they have come for. They don't want to just get through to a final. Commends the effort but warns that there is work to be done with the final coming. Honestly says that he didn't foresee Guyana being kept to 55 but says that he wanted to bowl first. Observes that teams batting first in evening games have struggled, perhaps because of the dew but he felt that if he could win the toss, he could restrict Guyana under 100. Praises Nabi for removing Pooran which just pushed Guyana back. For the final, Sammy says that TKR are the team to beat. Just like in the 2016 T20 World Cup tournament, they had discussed that to win the event, they have to beat India, similarly here, he has been believing that to win the tournament, they have to beat the Knight Riders. Ends by saying that they are quietly confident in the dressing room and want to win the final.
Guyana Amazon Warriors skipper, Chris Green, manages a smile. Admits that it is a disappointing effort to be knocked out like that but credits Daren Sammy's team for the way they played. Nevertheless, he is proud of his team for turning things around in the tournament after a poor start. Picks out youngsters like Kevin Sinclair and Ashmead Nedd as his personal impressions but praises the team as a whole. Is at a loss of words for this game's performance and says that they wanted to build partnerships, which they couldn't and adds that they will talk about it but then says that they would rather enjoy the moments spent together. Congratulates the CPL for organizing this event and promises to come back stronger next year, before wishing the Zouks a warm all the best for the final.
MARK DEYAL HAS BEEN NAMED THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. On the approach to the chase, Deyal says that it was a small score but in semi-finals, many times teams get a bit confused how to go about the chase. So, they had decided to go hard at the start to achieve the win. On the 'X' factor in this team, Deyal puts it down to team unity.
Throttled. The best word to describe this game. First, the Zouks' bowlers choked the Warriors to a below, below, below, below-par score and then Cornwall and Deyal just added salt on the inflicted wounds. Don't remember seeing 50 crossed too many times in the Powerplay this season and here we are - 56 being scored in 27 balls! Please stay tuned for the presentation.
Here comes the President now. On being asked as to why is he so serious, Mohammad Nabi says that it was a semi-final game and he just wanted to get the job done. Believes that fielding first suited his team with the extra bounce and spin on offer.
Rahkeem Cornwall is down for a chat. Is happy with the game being done and dusted quickly. Says that he never dreamt to be chasing 56 in a semi-final and is happy that his team could get the job done perfectly. On his catch to dismiss Imran Tahir, Rahkeem says that he is very confident about his catching abilities.

That ends the game. Full and outside off, Cornwall swings hard and gets a thick outside edge. It flies past short third man who runs after it to stop it. The batsmen take the requisite single and ST LUCIA ZOUKS WIN BY 10 WICKETS AND 93 BALLS TO SPARE!

SIX! WHOOSH! Just 8 more needed and this could be the last over of the match. Short and outside off, spinning away, Cornwall backs away and then drags this with all his might. It flies over long on!
