Fortune Barishal kept things tight till the 10th over mark. They leaked runs at the backend and lost the game in the final over. Chaturanga de Silva and Shakib Al Hasan bowled economically with the former getting a wicket. Khaled Ahmed and Dwaine Pretorius chipped in with a wicket but could not contain the runs in the final few overs eventually losing the game.
A terrific run chase by Khulna Tigers has got them over the line by 6 wickets with 3 balls to spare. Khaled Ahmed started off the chase slowly and lost Sabbir Rahman and Shai Hope for not much. Andy Balbirnie held the innings till the halfway mark but departed in the 11th over for 37. Mahmudul Hasan Joy added 55 for the 4th wicket with Yasir Ali before Yasir Ali departed on 13. Habibur Rahman came in and hit a few lusty blows to add the finishing touches. Mahmudul Hasan Joy played an outstanding knock of 64* and took his team over the line.
