That's it from this game then! The longest format follows now. That begins on the 22nd of March. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, goodbye and take care.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, player of the series says Tanzid was brilliant. Adds Rahim was also good and his innings helped Rishad. Credits the bowlers for the way they bowled. Ends by saying he is looking forward for the Tests.
MAN OF THE MATCH, Rishad Hossain, says he is very happy with his performance. He played his shots once he got his eye in. Adds Rahim told him to back himself.
Kusal Mendis says they were quite a few runs short but he was happy with how they bowled. Janith Liyanage batted well and he took them to a decent total. Ends by saying Kumara and Hasaranga bowled well but it wasn't enough.
Credit to the Lanka bowlers through, especially the likes of Kumara and Hasaranga. The two took 6 wickets combined and kept Lanka in the game for a long time. Had they got support from the rest, things could have been different. However, we just feel Lanka were 20 runs or so short. They were quite under par throughout and in the decider, they were just outplayed.
Before that however. Bangladesh managed to get a few really good partnerships. They did not have a big one but a few handy stands always kept them ahead in the game. Rahim batted really well. He held fort at one end. However, the real highlight for Bangladesh was Tanzid. He batted beautifully at the start and have to say, it is his innings which won the hosts the game and the series.
What an innings that was from Rishad Hossain! Absolutely brilliant. When he walked out, the game was quite in the balance. Another wicket and Lanka would have had a serious chance but he played with a lot of positivity and in the matter of 5 overs, he took the game away from the opposition.
