Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has arrived in Pakistan as the batting consultant of the Bangladesh U19 cricket team. The Tigers reached Multan on Tuesday to encounter four-dayer, three 45-over-per-side fixtures and two T20s during their tour of Pakistan.
According to the schedule, a four-day match will be held from 4 to 7 November, three one-days on 10, 12 and 14 November, while the two T20s are on 16 and 18 November.

Notably, Wasim has arrived in Pakistan without any ifs and buts and any visa allowance issues. However, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has denied sending its team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023, concerning the security situation in the cricket-loving nation.
Jaffer, who has played 31 Tests and two ODIs in his international cricketing career, has vast exposure to domestic cricket, having exposure to 260 first-class matches and 118 List-A matches under his belt, with over 20,000 runs.
While talking to the Times of India, he said,
“I’m very excited at this opportunity to take up this job and prepare the Bangladesh Under-19 boys for the next level and work at the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s High-Performance Centre. I’ve worked with the Bangladesh Cricket Board earlier,”
Notably, the Bangladesh U19 cricket team is the first junior team to tour Pakistan for the cricket series in the calendar year and the fourth international side after England, West Indies, and Australia earlier this year.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ban U19 vs Pak U19 was originally scheduled to be played at Iqbal Stadium, whereas it has been shifted to Multan Cricket Stadium.
