Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team deals with a huge blow ahead of the home series against Ireland as Pakistani leg-spinner Tuba Hasan has been ruled out. The bowler suffered an injury in her index finger. While assessing the injury, the medical panel of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) advised her to rest at least for four weeks.
Tuba, who has represented Pakistan in 16 T20Is so far, was all set to make an ODI debut during Pak W vs Ire W three-match ODI series. She was also named in the reserved squad for the ICC t20 World Cup 2022.
The PCB will announce her replacement in a shorter course. Meanwhile, it should be noted that Pakistan’s squad for the Ireland series is as follows:
Bismah Maroof (c), Aimen Anwar, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Naseem, Fatima Sana, Javeria Khan, Kainat Imtiaz, Muneeba Ali (wk), Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Nashra Sandhu, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal and Sidra Amin
Reserve players: Ghulam Fatima, Sidra Nawaz and Umm-e-Hani
The three ODIs will be staged at Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore, on the 4th, 6th, and 9th of November respectively. All ODIs are part of the ICC Women’s Championship. The encounters will be followed by as many T20Is starting from 11th November at the same venue. The next two T20Is will be played on the 14th and 16th of the month sequentially.
