The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has put an end to all the speculations regarding Jaspirt Bumrah’s ruling out of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The reports have been revolving that the toe-crusher has been exempted from the marquee event due to his back injury. However, what the President of the Board of Control of Cricket (BCCI) has narrated in his recent statements, contradicts the revolving reports.
According to Sourav Ganguly, Bumrah is not yet ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022. While talking to a source named Xtra Time, the President mentioned the decision in regard would be taken in two to three days, turning down all the reports citing Bumrah already out of the event. His statement reads,
“Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet. The final decision will be taken in two to three days.”
Bumrah, who is in Bangalore for scans, is currently under the examination of the National Cricket Academy’s (NCA) medical panel. He has been replaced by Mohammad Siraj in the ongoing India vs South Africa series, which the homies lead by 1-0. The bowler was also expelled from Asia Cup 2022 due to the same reason.
India dealt with a vast blow missing him and other key players. They were expelled from the six-team contest in the Group Stage after losing against Pakistan. Now, they are scheduled to see the same rivals in their T20 World Cup 2022 opener on October 24th, anticipating that they will get hold of their frontline pacer soon.
