During the first match, Muhammad Shami’s exceptional five wickets limited Australia to 276 runs. India’s chase was led by Shubman Gill (74) and Raturuj Gaikwad (71), with a valuable contribution by KL Rahul (58 not out) and Suryakumar Yadav (50) helped the team secure a thrilling victory. This win was not only significant for the series but also led India to Dethrone Pakistan and claim the NO 1 spot in the ICC men’s ODI ranking.
The second ODI witnessed a run-fest, with India setting a target of 399 for Australia on a batting-friendly pitch. A century from Shreyas Iyer a brilliant 104 by Shubman Gill, Suryakumarr Yadav 72, and R Ashwin three wickets ensuring India’s dominance leading to a win by 99 runs (DLS adjusted)
