Wasim Jnr turns 21 today as he celebrates his birthday with teammates in the United Arab Emirates. The pacer is in UAE for his first big tournament, ACC Asia Cup 2022, ready to kick start on 27th August. Wasim and his mates are excited to begin their campaign on August 28th versus India at Dubai International Stadium.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video of men in the green Asia Cup squad wishing birthday to Wasim. He received a jar as a gift composing special messages written for him on paper from all his mates.

But all these celebrations are turned into a nightmare since Wasim has been taken to the hospital. He complained of back pain during the training session and was immediately taken for an MRI scan.

To date, there is no official statement regarding his exclusion from Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 squad. Fans and experts pray for the bowler’s speedy recovery so that he is in action versus India on August 28th. If he misses out, it will be another significant blow to Pakistan, followed by Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was ruled out due to his knee injury.
It must be noted that Mohammad Hasnain was named as Afridi’s replacement for Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 stint.
