Who will replace Fatima Sana in Pakistan women’s Asia Cup 2022 squad?

On September 18th, Pakistani bowler Fatima Sana was ruled out of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 squad as she suffered an injury during the maiden Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL 2022). She was picked by Barbados Royals for the West Indies’ newly-launched tournament 6IXTY and the WCPL, respectively. The bowler amassed two wickets from five 6IXTY games, whereas, in three WCPL matches, she picked three wickets.

During the Caribbean tournament, she suffered an ankle twist, the severity of which has expelled her from Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 squad. Although the PCB named her in the team announced on 7th September, but Nashra Sandhu will be in charge of the duties in place of Fatima. Spinner Nashra was initially placed among the reserved players but has now shifted to the main squad.
