Mitchell Starc and wife Alyssa Healy today played against Pakistan at the same time but at two different venues. Starc is touring Pakistan and is currently playing in the first Test match of three for the Benaud-Qadir Trophy. On the other hand, Healy and her team were up against Pakistan women in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022.
The immensely talented couple is star players in Australia’s respective men’s and women’s teams. The men’s side broke a 24-year hiatus of the country’s tour to Pakistan this year. The team will play three Tests, three ODIs and one T20I in this visit and currently, the first Test is underway in Rawalpindi.
The left-arm fast bowler is yet to take a wicket in the Test match. In the first inning, the fast bowler could not claim any wicket and bowled at an economy of 2.96 in 24 overs. He bagged 19 wickets in the Ashes 2021/2022 for Australia.
Alyssa Healy is part of the Australian women’s squad which is presently located in New Zealand to participate in the Women’s World Cup 2022. The star opening batter hit a brilliant 72 off 79 balls to take the Kangaroos past the winning line in the second match of their World Cup campaign. They have now won two out of two matches in the ongoing tournament and look like a solid unit.
The two might be miles apart right now but are happy doing what they love doing the most-playing cricket and that too with all the passion.
