Shaheen Shah Afridi speaks on his exclusion from Asia Cup 2022

Shaheen Shah Afridi has responded to his broken fans after he has been ruled out from Asia Cup 2022 squad. The pacer is equally upset to miss the opportunity of representing Pakistan as the team’s key bowler. He was sidelined following the knee injury that occurred during last month’s Test against Sri Lanka and has not yet healed.

The left-arm pacer said that not only he but every player in the team is a match winner and wished good luck to all the participants. He has asked fans to keep him in their special prayers for a speedy recovery.

Afridi penned down,

Every player of our playing 11 is a match winner. Wishing my team the best of luck for the upcoming Asia Cup. To the fans, keep me in your prayers for my quick recovery. I’ll be back soon Inshallah

It must be noted the left-arm pacer has been advised to rest for four to six weeks. It means he will not participate in the upcoming seven-match t20I series against England at home.

Fans hope that Shaheen gets fully fit before the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia to tackle the batters. His unavailability is the biggest loss to team Pakistan, as it now looks for a replacement, to be announced in a short course.

If the reports revolving are not fake, there are chances that out-of-form Hasan Ali or young Mir Hamza might replace Shaheen. Pakistan will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign against arch-rivals India on August 28th.
