The much-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL 2024) is ready to hit the ground running with a robust security plan in place. Organizers have prioritized the safety and smooth conduct of the tournament, deploying a multi-pronged approach to ensure everyone involved feels secure.
A total of 17,176 police personnel will be deployed across Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with Lahore receiving the highest number at 6,936. Three army companies will further bolster security measures.
Helicopters will provide aerial surveillance of key routes, while Safe City cameras offer 24/7 monitoring of stadiums and team routes. Additional cameras will be installed for heightened focus.
Mobile command vans and drones equipped with cameras will be strategically positioned, while 20 Dolphin and 20 Elite Force teams patrol the routes during matches.
PSL 2024 Gears Up for Action with Comprehensive Security Plan
All participating teams will receive state guest treatment to ensure their safety throughout the tournament.
The tournament kicks off with Lahore Qalandars facing Islamabad United, followed by the highly anticipated Qalandars vs. Karachi Kings clashes on February 24th and March 9th.
Teams will play five matches at their home grounds, with Peshawar Zalmi playing four in Rawalpindi and Quetta Gladiators playing three each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Multan Sultans host a single match against Quetta Gladiators on February 25th.
