The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has defined its clear stance in case if India will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023. In such a situation, Pakistan will retaliate and will not travel to India either for ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
Notably, last month, Jay Shah’s statements went viral as he stated that India would not travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 due to security concerns. Finding no chance to be humble, Ramiz Raja, the PCB chairman, has aggressively responded that the men in green either won’t come to India to take part in the World Cup.
Notably, Pakistan are the major contestant in the World event, and it will be a dull tournament without them, certainly costing millions of dollars and viewership. While responding to BCCI strongly, Ramiz Raja told Urdu News that,
“If Pakistan doesn’t take part in the World Cup scheduled in India next year, who will watch it? We have a clear stand: If the Indian team comes here, then we will go for the World Cup.”
“If they don’t come, then they can play the World Cup without us. We will adopt an aggressive approach. Our team is showing performance.
He also mentioned that Pakistan beat India twice in a year, which means overpowering the billion-dollar economy in a short span.
I’ve always said we need to improve the economy of Pakistan cricket, and that can only happen when we perform well. In the 2021 T20 World Cup, we beat India. We beat India in the T20 Asia Cup. In one year, the Pakistan cricket team defeated a billion-dollar economy team twice.”
