A recent Ipsos survey reflects the sentiments of Pakistani fans, with a resounding 82% expressing confidence in Pakistan emerging victorious if pitted against India in the final. In contrast, 15% favor India, while 3% remain uncertain about the outcome.

Babar Azam, despite a less-than-stellar performance in the ongoing tournament, captures the fans’ imagination, with 42% predicting he will be the leading run-scorer. Following closely is Mohammad Rizwan with 37%, while 7% believe Virat Kohli of India will clinch the title.

The survey extends beyond individual accolades, venturing into predictions for various categories such as “Most Wicket-Taking Bowler,” where Shaheen Shah Afridi leads with an impressive 47% support. Haris Rauf secures 19%, Hassan Ali with 14%, and Shadab Khan with 8%.

In the realm of wicket-keeping, 65% of respondents anticipate Rizwan securing the title of “Wicket Keeper with Most Catches.” Shadab Khan is the popular choice for the “Best Fielder” title, with 21% of fans predicting he will dominate with catches and run-outs in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Babar Azam continues to dominate the narrative, garnering 34% of the votes for the “Best Player of the World Cup.” Rizwan follows closely with 26%, while Virat Kohli trails with 14%.

Notably, the survey delves into the realm of cricket commentary, revealing that Ramiz Raja is the preferred commentator for 58% of respondents. Waqar Younis secures 19%, Ravi Shastri has 6%, and other commentators collectively garner 3% of the votes.
