- Pakistan is really struggling in the second Test match
- Their playing tactics are questionable and aren’t doing enough to chase a massive target
- The batters only managed to score 18 runs in 20 overs which is too slow
Pakistan cricket fans are unimpressed with the approach team Pakistan has adopted in the second Test match of the series of three here in Karachi. The first Test match played in Rawalpindi was drawn and the 22 yards which were used for the play were heavily criticized. The match was moving towards a dull draw from the very start and what little chances of a result were there, got evaporated by rain and bad lighting.
Australia dominated the second Test from the very start batting first. They compiled 550 runs in two days and the home team had a tough time sending the Aussie players back to the sheds. They tried drying up runs by negative bowling which was also heavily criticized. With one wicket remaining, the inning was declared and the hosts were given a turn to bat. Surprisingly their turn proved to be a short one and within a span of a few hours and 148 runs later, the Pakistan team was again prepping to bowl. The Australian bowlers proved too good for the batters.
Currently day four is underway and after completing 505 runs the Kangaroos have given up on batting and now the hosts have been given the humungous task of chasing 506 runs. But the batting tactics being used by Babar’s team are really irking the cricket fans. Where aggression is required and runs are needed because of a massive score, the batters are off to an extremely slow start scoring just 18 runs in 20 overs at the end of the first session.
Fans took to Twitter to register their frustration with Pakistan’s batting technique. Here’s what they are saying
