Ocean Sharma becomes first-ever gaming caster to join IPL

Ocean Sharma, a well-known caster of India’s Esports industry, has been appointed as the first-ever gaming caster to be appointed as the national presenter by Star Sports for the Indian Premier League’s upcoming edition. The Esports industry has seen a significant rise in popularity in the last few years, specifically in India.

IPL 2024 is set to begin on June 22nd and will see Sharma joining the likes of Mayanti Langer Binny, Jatin Sapru, Tanay Tiwari, and Suren Sundaram on the panel. Earlier, he was appointed for commentary in the 10th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League and also boasts experience in working with Ultimate Kho Kho.

India’s leading casting talent, on being appointed as national presenter for the prestigious T20 league, said that,

Apart from India’s sporting tournaments, he has also worked with official Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournaments and global Esports events such as the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: League – East, PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: Grand Finals, and PUBG Mobile Pro League – South Asia Spring 2022.
