The director of Pakistan team Mickey Arthur has arrived in India. Mickey Arthur has joined the squad in India for ICC World cup 2023.
Arthur is also the head coach of Derby Shire. After serving Derby Shire, Arthur returned to India to continue the role of director of Pakistan cricket team.
Mickey Arthur was appointed by PCB in April. Najam Sethi was the chairman when Mickey Arthur was appointed as director of Pakistan team.
Mickey Arthur also served Pakistan team before. He was the head coach of Pakistan team from 2016-2019. Under Mickey’s coaching, Pakistan won ICC champions trophy. Moreover, Mickey also played a significant role in bringing team to No 1 spot in t20s and tests in his last tenure.
Now, Mickey will be with the team in India for World cup. Pakistan captain Babar Azam will also get a lot of help from Mickey Arthur and there will be a strong discussion between Mickey Arthur and Babar Azam for making team plans and strategies.
Pakistan lost their warm up match against New Zealand on 29th september. Now they will play their next warm up match against Australia on 3rd of October.
The group matches of world cup will start on 5th of Octiber. First match of World cup will be played between England and New Zealand. Moreover, Pakistan will start their compaign on 6th October in the match against Netherland.
