James Vince wins the Player of the Match award. He says the pitch was tricky but the way they bowled was just exceptional. Adds the bowlers are in a nice rhythm and the batters are doing a really good job as well. Tells it is tricky to see who to leave out if Jofra Archer comes in but they'll play according to the conditions.
Earlier, just like Welsh Fire, Southern Brave too kept on losing wickets but the captain played a valuable innings as he anchored the game right till the end. James Vince's unbeaten 73 proved to be the gamechanger. Welsh Fire needed someone to play similar kind of innings but no one stood up for the job.
A nothing show really from Welsh Fire and they have been well beaten by some dominating bowling performance from Southern Brave. Chasing a par total, we thought Welsh Fire would at least push for the win but the way Southern Brave started with the ball just set the tone. Akeal Hosein and Craig Overton bowled tight lines and lengths to give the start Southern Brave were looking for. Welsh Fire were off to a slowish start and kept on losing wickets later on. Southern Brave brought Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan, Danny Briggs just to showcase what they possess in their armoury. A frightening collection even without Jofra Archer! Once Glenn Phillips fell, it was all but over for Welsh Fire.
