Johnson Charles wins the Player of the Match award for his effortless batting. He starts by saying that they had a very long session of planning coming into this game and they really stuck to their plans really well. Adds that it was delightful to be a part of the partnership. States that he has added the switch-hits into the game and it is developing quite nicely. Ends by saying that the plan is to come out as champions and give it back to the fans.
For the Knight Riders, the target of 219 was always going to be a daunting one. Their chase got off to a disastrous start as they lost early wickets, putting them on the back foot from the second over. Jason Roy was the only batter who showed some resistance, playing a solid knock of 41 from 29 deliveries, but he received little support from the other end. The Kings' bowlers kept things tight and chipped away at the wickets regularly, ensuring that the Knight Riders never got any momentum in their chase. The star with the ball for the Kings was Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad, who delivered a match-winning spell. Ahmad picked up three crucial wickets, including the dangerous Andre Russell, Tim David, and Akeal Hosein, to finish with figures of 3/39. His timely strikes all but sealed the fate of the Knight Riders, who crumbled under pressure. As the wickets kept tumbling, it became clear that the Knight Riders were not going to pose a serious threat to the massive target set by the Kings. In the end, they were bowled out for a mere 138 in 18.1 overs, falling 80 runs short of the target.
After winning the toss, the Knight Riders elected to bowl first, a decision that soon backfired. The Kings' openers, Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles, came out with an aggressive intent and delivered a batting masterclass. Charles, in particular, was in sensational form, smashing the ball to all parts of the ground in his blistering 40-ball 89. His innings was laced with powerful shots, keeping the bowlers under constant pressure. Du Plessis, too, played his part brilliantly, anchoring the innings while Charles did most of the damage. The pair shared a massive 145-run partnership in just 12.4 overs, laying the foundation for a formidable total. Faf du Plessis contributed a well-paced 59, keeping the scoreboard ticking over at a steady rate. After the fall of the openers, the Kings lost a few quick wickets, but the early onslaught had already done the damage. Despite some late hiccups, the Kings managed to post a mammoth total of 218/6 in their allotted 20 overs, a score that put them in a commanding position.
The St Lucia Kings solidified their dominance at the top of the points table with a resounding 80-run victory over the Trinbago Knight Riders at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba. The Kings delivered a commanding performance, both with the bat and the ball, as they cruised to a one-sided win.

Fuller one, tailing into the pads. Bravo blocks it from inside the crease.
Dwayne Bravo limps out on the field as the final batter. He was injured in the first innings, and is quite surprising to see him come out to bat. But as this is his last season, he wants to do anything he can for the fans.
