So that is it from this game! The stage is all set for the final T20I. The winner takes the series. It will be played on the 10th of November at 1400 local (0100 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
England skipper, Eoin Morgan, says he is absolutely thrilled, it was a clinical performance in a must-win game. States they were very good with the ball and the bat. Credits Malan and Parkinson for the way they played. He is also delighted with the way he played and they managed to make most of the surface. Ends by saying they need to get better as the series goes on and he is looking forward for the last game.
New Zealand skipper, Tim Southee, says they need to get over this defeat and look forward to the game coming up. Further adds they got off to a nice start but then they started to lose wickets and that made it difficult. He jokingly says, if weather does play a part in the 5th T20I, it should not come down to boundaries.
MAN OF THE MATCH, Dawid Malan, says it is a special moment. The intent Morgan and himself showed from ball 1 was exceptional and it is good they performed well in a crunch game. States they have made silly mistakes throughout but are pleased they played well in this game and is hoping to win the next game too and win the series.
The England bowling was led by the young leggie, Parkinson. He was the pick with a four-fer. Jordan also took a couple. The rest of the bowlers also had a wicket each. A complete performance you can say from the away side. Stay tuned for the presentation.
242 then was always going to be a huge target but New Zealand did start off decently. However, once the first wicket fell, they kept losing wickets and in the end it was too much of a task. When chasing such a huge total, you need one of the top order batters to score big but that was not the case, their top scorer was Tim Southee. All in all, it has been a day to forget for the hosts.
A comprehensive win in the end for the visitors! They needed a good performance to level the series and they have delivered in this must-win game. To be honest this game was set up by their skipper Morgan and the centurion, Malan. The 182-run stand between them batted New Zealand out of the game.

Sodhi turns and looks to get back in with a dive but Jordan hits bull's eye at the bowler's end. An appeal and the umpire takes it upstairs. Replays show that Sodhi is short. England a wicket away now from leveling the series.

NOT OUT! It is pitching outside leg! The review was more in hope we feel. England too lose their review in the same over. Parkinson tosses it up outside leg, it turns and hits the pad of Sodhi as he tries to flick. An appeal as the batters take a leg bye towards short fine leg. The umpire shakes his head. Billings feels it is close and wants the review to be taken. Morgan does so. Replays roll in and they show the on-field call is correct again. An action-packed last over by Parkinson. 13 runs and a wicket. End of an excellent spell from him. 4-0-47-4, his figures.
Another huge shout has been turned down. England have reviewed the decision. It seems like it is pitching outside leg.

OUT! Three reds and Southee needs to continue his walk back. He actually is already off the field even before he was given out by the third umpire. 4-fer for Parkinson and he has one ball to get a fifer. He bowls a flighted ball on middle, Southee shuffles across and looks to play the slog sweep but misses to get hit on the pads. An appeal and up goes the finger. Southee reviews. Replays roll in and it shows that the on-field call is the right one. New Zealand lose a review. Southee's cameo comes to an end.
An appeal for lbw is given in favour of the bowler. Tim Southee is the man in question.

OUT! Straight down the throat of the fielder! The set Munro is out of here. Was this shot needed after a wicket fell on the previous delivery? Well, if you look at the target, they have to on every ball. Munro looks to do exactly that. He brings out the slog sweep but Parkinson bowls it nicely and slow outside off. He does not get enough power behind the shot and it goes straight to Brown at deep mid-wicket. Two wickets in two balls for Parkinson. Excellent first over from him. He will be on a hat-trick on the first ball of his next over.
Ross Taylor is the next batsman in.

OUT! In the air... taken! Parkinson has the last laugh. Excellent courage shown by him. He tosses up another delivery, this time though it is slightly behind the length it was on the last ball. We are back for the chase. The England players are out in the middle. Martin Guptill and Colin Munro will open the batting for New Zealand. Sam Curran will start the proceedings for England.
242! When you see that figure, you would probably say the chasing side have already been batted out of the game. However, in this part of the country, we have seen big scores chased down. Will we see another? If the Kiwis even come close, we are going to have a cracker of a game. Stay tuned for the chase in a while.
Not a lot you can write about a bowling unit which has conceded so many runs! It seemed like New Zealand probably had an off day as they did not bowl that well. Too many loose deliveries. However, Santner was really good once again. Boult was also decent but the rest were taken to the cleaners.
Who would have thought England would end up with something above 240 when they were 18 for 1 after the fourth. At that time, it seemed the wicket was a little tacky and probably 170 or 180 would have been a good score but what came after that was a thrill to the eye. First it was Banton who started things, he though once again departed after getting off to a start. Then came what does not happen often, a 182-run stand in a T20I game between Morgan and Malan. Right from the word go, the two went after the bowlers and were hitting boundaries at will. Yes, they were helped with some bad bowling by the Kiwis but take nothing away from the knock which was exceptional. Malan scored his maiden T20I ton and Morgan missed out on his by 9 runs. However, the two have taken England to a massive score.
WOW! That was some unreal stuff from Malan and the English skipper! A much-needed break for the Kiwi players and for us as we had a lot to type. A well-deserved standing ovation for Malan as he gets back into the pavilion. Just superb, short of superlatives at the moment to describe how good the hitting was when the two were out there. A complete carnage.

He ends up miscuing it towards cover where Mitchell takes a good sliding catch running forward.

NO BALL! That indeed is a no ball! It is above the waist height. New Zealand probably knew that as they did not start celebrating when the catch was taken. Santner bowls a high full toss. Morgan is a touch early in the pull. It goes off the bottom towards deep square leg. Daryl Mitchell takes the catch there. New Zealand though did not start celebrating. Morgan stands at the other run after the run is completed. The umpires take it upstairs and after watching a few replays, it is ruled in the favor of the batter. Free Hit coming up.

DROPPED? Or he actually just threw it back as he realized he was going to touch the ropes? By looking at the replays, it seems like it was the latter. Morgan will breathe a sigh of relief. This is tossed up on the leg pole. Morgan once again plays the sweep. He hits it firmly but flat towards deep square leg. Mitchell there runs to his right, slides and takes it but then realizes the momentum is taking him over the ropes and he ends up getting rid of it before he does so. OUT! It is not very close, it is three reds and Banton has to take the long walk back. His entertaining knock comes to an end. Excellent review from New Zealand and timely wicket for them as the two started to score runs quite easily now. Santner once again proves to be the man for the Kiwis. His second wicket. Banton looks to play the reverse sweep to the ball which is pitched around off. He misses and is hit above the pads. An appeal but not given. The hosts review. Time for the replays and it shows that New Zealand have broken the 42-run stand.

NOT OUT! It is pitching outside leg! That did seem to be the issue when we saw the ball at first. Banton should be thanking Bairstow as Banton was already making his way back to the pavilion. Excellent from JB. Banton survives to fight another day. This is slightly shorter, it stays a bit low. Banton looks to pull it but misses to get hit on the pads. A huge shout and up goes the finger. After being told by Bairstow, Banton reviews. Replays show that it has pitched outside leg. A good over though from Boult.
Review time! Banton has been given out LBW. He has started walking back but Bairstow stops him and asks him to signal the 'T'. The pitching could be an issue here.

We are all set to begin. The New Zealand players are out in the middle. Jonny Bairstow and Tom Banton will open the batting for England. Trent Boult will start the proceedings for New Zealand.
So as mentioned in the earlier text, Chris Jordan and Jonny Bairstow do come in for England. Trent Boult also will be playing his first game of the series in place of Ferguson. However, the Kiwis have made another change - Daryl Mitchell comes in place of Neesham.
England (Playing XI) - Tom Banton, JONNY BAIRSTOW (IN FOR JAMES VINCE), Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan (C), Sam Billings (WK), Sam Curran, Lewis Gregory, Tom Curran, CHRIS JORDAN (IN FOR SAQIB MAHMOOD), Pat Brown, Matt Parkinson.
New Zealand (Playing XI) - Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Tim Seifert (WK), Colin de Grandhomme, Ross Taylor, DARYL MITCHELL (IN FOR JAMES NEESHAM), Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee (C), Ish Sodhi, TRENT BOULT (IN FOR LOCKIE FERGUSON), Blair Tickner.
TOSS - Up goes the coin and it lands in the favor of the hosts. NEW ZEALAND ELECT TO BOWL FIRST!
Let's us now talk about the teams - The hosts will be making one change for sure, Lockie Ferguson who was only in the squad for the first three T20Is, will be replaced by Trent Boult. The rest of the team should be the same as they would not want to tinker with the winning combination. England on the other hand, might just get in Jonny Bairstow and Chris Jordan with this being a crunch game. We will confirm once the toss and teams are updated in a bit.
Time for the 4th game of this long T20I series between New Zealand and England. A lot is at stake in this game. The visitors need a win to stay alive in the series. The hosts on the other hand, need a win to seal it. This is the only game in this series which begins in the evening and England will hope a change in time brings in a change of fortunes for them. The series has been pretty exciting so far, let's hope for one more cracker of a game. Welcome to the coverage.
