Defending 110, the Delhi Bulls started well with the ball and took three early wickets but failed to keep the pressure as the Northern Warriors smashed it all around the park after the halfway mark and did not allow the Bulls to get back. Earlier today, the Bulls made 109 on the back of 20s from Adam Lyth, Tom Banton, and James Vince while Fareed Ahmad and Azmatullah Omarzai were impressive with the ball for the Warriors. This win takes the Warriors to number three in the table. It's still early days but they will be delighted with the result.
An excellent run chase from the Warriors helps them defeat the Bulls by 7 wickets and an over to spare as they start their season on a winning note. Chasing 110 for the win, the Warriors were reduced to 3 for 31 in the fourth over when Sherfane Rutherford joined hands with Johnson Charles and the duo added an unbeaten 79-run stand to steer their side home. Charles made a brilliant 54 off 23 while Sherfane Rutherford played his part with an unbeaten 20 as they nailed the score easily in the end.
