Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier in the day, after being inserted, Pakistan got off to the perfect start courtesy their openers. They though lost their way after that and ended up with something below 160 which was chased easily with four balls to spare. It were the spinners for England who applied the breaks really well in the first innings.
Pakistan were just not up for it! There were far too many poor deliveries and the fielding was extremely poor as well. Shan Masood’s drop probably cost them the game. Their bowlers struggled to take wickets. Only Usman Qadir looked dangerous but the rest could not support him well. They were just outplayed by England.
An excellent chase in the end by England! Very calculated. They key for them was, small partnerships. They had small decent partnerships through the innings. Hales was the mainstay, he batted brilliantly and notched up a fine half-ton. He fell soon after that but Brook showed great maturity to help his side take a 1-0 lead in the series.
