Babar Azam is the captain of Pakistan team from August, 2020. Under his captaincy 4 big tournaments are played which are T20 World cup 2021, T20 world cup 2022, Asia cup 2022 and Asia cup 2023.
Although,Pakistan performed well in all tournaments but didn’t won any trophy. In 2021 t20 world cup, Pakistan lost the semi final. In 2022 t20 world cup and Asia cup Pakistan reached final but wasn’t able to win any trophy.
Recently in Asia cup 2023 Pakistan lost must win game againt Sri Lanka. So the blame of losing all these tournaments is on Babar because he lead Pakistan team in these tournaments.
Today Zakar Ashraf talking about Babar’s caotaincy said:
It’s time to support Pakistan. Babar Azam is the best player. We will sit after the world cup and talk about the mistakes done by him and decude regarding his captaincy.
So here the question arises that is it going to be last tournament for Babar Azam as a captain? Zaka Ashraf has given a sign that if Babar fails to deliver as a captain and team coudn’t perform well then Babar azam might be replaced as a captain.
This tournament is a big task for Pakistan captain that he has to prove himself in batting as well as in captaincy. Babar’s last three tournaments as a player were also not according to his standards so he has to do something big in this tournament.
Pakistan team will start their compaign in world cup on 6th October. Pakistan and Netherland will be facing each other on 6th October.
