Iceland Cricket Twitter handle is known for trolling tweets. This time, the handler has taken a silly dig on the England and Wales Cricket Board after it offered to host a bilateral series between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The two do not see each other on the field apart from ACC or ICC events due to their unstable political relations.
Boards like Cricket Australia and ECB have been trying to reunite them to ignite Indo-Pak cricket once again. CA offered a tri-series, but the plan was cancelled, with only Pakistan Cricket Board showing interest. This time, ECB has offered to host three-match Pakistan vs India Test series at ts neutral venues.
Iceland Cricket, quickly taking note of the tweet, hilariously trolled England’s weather, making an appeal to the global cricket body to host Pak vs Ind Tests instead. They mentioned providing 24/7 daylight cricket in Summers as well with flooding tweets coverage, unlike England in the offer.
In the tweet, it is written that,
We hear @ECB_cricket have offered to host a Test series between India and Pakistan. We officially announce to @ICC that we are also offering to do the same & can provide near 24-hour daylight in June and July, as well as better Tweets covering the matches. Sniper security too.

It is reported that Marin Darlow, the ECB’s deputy chair who has been in Pakistan for Pak vs Eng seven-match T20I series made the offer. It is to amend further the relationships between ECB and PCB that were damaged after the ECB backed out from the tour before the World Cup 2021 and also to get Ind vs Pak cricket back on the cards. To compensate for the lost tour, the two teams are engaged in seven T20Is, unlike five as initially decided.
As far as Pak vs Ind cricket is concerned, the arch-rivals played a bilateral series back in 2011-12. They last played a Test series in December 2007.
