Pakistan’s frontline pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is gradually getting out of the injury trauma as his recovery and rehabilitation process continue in England. The left-handed pacer was part of Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 squad but was ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury.
He suffered the injury during Pak vs SL Test match in Galle in July and has not yet fully recovered. Afridi was also part of the Pak vs NED series but did not get a single game following the severity of the injury. In the midst of Asia Cup 2022, he was sent for rehabilitation in the UK.
It was advised to the bowler to rest for at least four-six weeks, which also questioned his participation in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. However, since the board revealed the World Cup squad earlier this week, Shaheen’s inclusion is a significant boost to the side.
Shaheen, on Twitter, shared his bowling video and the fans were delighted to see their favourite bowler getting back to action. His tweet includes praises for the Almighty and penned out,
Your success belongs to Allah, not your mindset.

It must be noted that the bowler is not participating in the ongoing seven-match T20I series vs England. However, he will be part of the tri-series, including New Zealand and Bangladesh. The World Cup-bound squad will fly to New Zealand for the tri-nation series before the marquee event in Australia.
