SA20 2024 venues
This edition boasts six dynamic venues, providing the perfect backdrop for intense clashes and unforgettable moments. From Newlands to Centurion Park, Kingsmead to St. George’s Park, Wanderers to Boland Park, cricket enthusiasts are in for a treat as the action unfolds across these iconic grounds.
The opening match at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha will witness defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape facing off against Joburg Super Kings, setting the stage for an intense battle from the very beginning.
SA20 2024 teams
Six powerhouse teams, namely Durban Super Giants, Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, and Sunrisers Eastern Cape, will vie for supremacy. What makes this edition even more intriguing is that all these teams are owned by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, adding a touch of IPL glamour to the South African T20 League.
SA20 2024 format
The format of the tournament is equally riveting, with each team playing five home and five away games. The top four teams will advance to the qualifiers, where the first and second-ranked teams will battle it out in Qualifier 1. The winner secures a direct spot in the final, while the loser gets another chance in Qualifier 2 against the victor of the eliminator between the third and fourth-placed teams.
