The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released an update on Mohammad Rizwan and Shahnawaz Dahani’s injury, and the fans can expect good things ahead of the team’s next match. Pakistan will encounter Afghanistan in their next match of the Super 4 stage on September 7th.
Shahnawaz Dahani was ruled out of the remainder of Asia Cup 2022, suffering side strain, and became the third Pakistani to be ruled out from the team’s event’s stint after Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wasim Jnr. Dahani was replaced by young Mohammad Hasnain, who recently returned to competitive cricket after modifying his bowling action.
Although there is no chance for Dahani to be back to the squad following his ruling out, Rizwan’s participation is certain. The dedicated man played a splendid knock versus India despite not being fully fit and is expected to participate in further matches after the board has shared positive results of his injury.
Reportedly, he was admitted to hospital soon after Ind vs Pak match. He fell on his right leg while keeping a high ball against India, felt a cramp and also had pain in his knee. The board is continually examining the MRI scans to give a detailed update about his injury as a follow-up scan has been made mandatory. Most likely, the wicket-keeping batter will play Pak vs Afg match.
Shahnawaz Dahani has shown significant improvement and medical team is continuously monitoring him.
Mohammad Rizwan has undergone MRI scan and it's result will be compiled tomorrow, following which decisions will be made. Presently, he is doing well.
