Good news for Rajasthan Royals fans as the ace Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been integrated into the franchise as the team’s bowling coach for this year’s version of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 set to stage from 26th of this month.
During his playing days in IPL, the right-arm fast bowler was an important player for the five-times champion Mumbai Indians. A ferocious bowler, Malinga has claimed 170 scalps from 122 games of the marquee event. A true champion of the game, his inclusion will provide the very support Rajasthan Royals need to end their winning drought.
The franchise welcomed the 38-year-old bowler with a classy post on Twitter. The caption read *kisses the ball* Lasith Malinga.IPL.Pink. The post had a stylish graphic of Malinga in the team’s jersey with a whiteboard in the background with various bowling styles of the Sri Lankan.
The Rajasthan Royals have also managed to construct a strong team for the 15th season of the gala T20 league. Take a look at the RR squad. The team will play their first match of the tournament on 29th March against Sun Risers Hyderabad.
