The greatest Australian leg-spinner, Shane Warne, breathed his last in what is being termed a cardiac arrest yesterday and the entire cricket fraternity is devastated. As soon as the news of his demise broke out, the cricket fraternity went in complete shock.
Soon, tributes started pouring in for the cricketing great. Many legends posted heartfelt condolences and shared memories of playing beside him or sharing off-field camaraderie with him. Warne had an exemplary cricket career comprising of 708 wickets in Test in 145 innings and 293 scalps from 194 matches.
The absolute master of the craft bagged a man of the match award in the 1999 World Cup. The crowd here in Rawalpindi, here to support their team in the historic first Test between Pakistan and Australia showed up for day two holding posters of tribute for the Australian legend.
