A total of 65 Pakistani cricketers, comprising 60 men and five women, have officially thrown their hats into the ring for the 2024 The Hundred Draft, slated to unfold on March 20.
Manchester Originals initiated the retention phase by securing the services of Usama Mir, while Welsh Fire opted to retain the pace sensation Haris Rauf, setting the stage for an electrifying draft day.
With anticipation building, several high-profile names from Pakistan have stepped into the spotlight, including Hasan Ali and Naseem Shah, both commanding an impressive reserve price of £100,000. Joining them are Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed, who have set their reserve prices at £75,000, further intensifying the competition.
Mohammad Amir, Saim Ayub, Aamer Jamal, and Abdullah Shafique have entered the fray with a base price of £60,000, while the likes of Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, and Imad Wasim have positioned themselves with a reserve price of £50,000.
In a bid to secure their spots, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Hasnain, and Azam Khan have set their reserve at £40,000, showcasing their determination to make an impact in the tournament.
Additionally, 46 Pakistani players have entered The Hundred Draft without specifying a reserve price, including the likes of Salman Ali Agha, Abrar Ahmed, Umar Akmal, and Asif Ali, adding an element of unpredictability to the selection process.
Notable names like Heider Ali, Umar Amin, Faheem Ashraf, and Shahnawaz Dahani have also thrown their names into contention without a set reserve price, alongside Zaman Khan, Shan Masood, Mohammad Nawaz, Roman Raees, Saud Shakeel, Haneen Shah, and Wasim Junior.
On the women’s front, Iram Javed, Nida Dar, and Fatima Sana have entered the draft with a reserve price of £17,500, while Aliya Riaz and Javeria Rauf have joined without specifying a reserve.
With a total of 245 domestic players and 389 overseas players registered for selection, every player comes with a reserve price, ensuring a fair and competitive draft process.
The fourth edition of The Hundred is poised to commence on July 23, promising a thrilling showcase of cricketing talent from across the globe.
