Pakistan are gearing up to host the New Zealand cricket team for a highly anticipated five-match T20I series. Fresh from their tour of Australia for Test matches, Pakistan recently faced New Zealand on their home turf in a five-match T20I series.
Despite Pakistan’s efforts, they only managed to salvage one victory, ending the series with a 4-1 scoreline. The newly appointed captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, had a challenging start to his T20I campaign, struggling to secure victories for his team.
With Pakistani players currently engaged in the action-packed Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have reportedly earmarked a period between April 14 and April 24 for the upcoming series.
However, the exact dates are yet to be finalized. The matches are slated to be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi, providing fans with an opportunity to witness thrilling cricketing action firsthand.
Notably, during the same period, Pakistan Women’s team is scheduled to take on the West Indies Women’s team in a T20I series in Karachi. Following these T20I encounters, all eyes will be on the T20 World Cup 2024, set to commence on June 1st with matches hosted in the USA and the West Indies.
Before locking horns with New Zealand, Pakistan are scheduled to play against Afghanistan, followed by a series against England after hosting the black caps. These matches serve as a crucial platform for practice and preparation ahead of the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024, offering both teams valuable opportunities to fine-tune their strategies and squad compositions.
With high stakes and intense competition on the horizon, cricket enthusiasts around the globe eagerly await the action-packed encounters that lie ahead.
