The SA20 2024 cricket season is all set to unfold, commencing from January 10 and concluding on February 10. The tournament will showcase thrilling matches at a total of six venues, including St George’s Park, Kingsmead, Boland Park, Wanderers, Centurion, and Newlands.

The inaugural clash will witness Sunrisers Eastern Cape locking horns with Joburg Super Kings at Port Elizabeth, marking the beginning of a month-long extravaganza lasting until February 10. The six participating teams, namely MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Joburg Super Kings, and Durban Super Giants, all backed by IPL franchise owners, will vie for supremacy in 30 league games.

The tournament’s structure includes Qualifier 1 on February 6, featuring the top two teams, followed by the Eliminator on February 7 and Qualifier 2 on February 8. The grand finale on February 10 will witness the clash between the Qualifier 1 winner and the Qualifier 2 victor or the Eliminator winner. Sunrisers Eastern Cape enters the tournament as the defending champions, having clinched the title in the previous season’s final against Pretoria Capitals.
