The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mr Ramiz Raja has revealed that his life is in danger and for the reason, he uses the car accordingly. He has purchased a bulletproof car and has been bashed over it. People believe he is earning massively from the board and spends inappropriately for his lavish lifestyle.
Neglecting all negative comments, Raja has revealed that his income as PCB chairman is zero. He has disclosed that he only acts as the board’s chairman to uplift Pakistan Cricket but not to make pennies.
The reporter queried Ramiz’s salary since he has taken over Ehsan Mani in September 2021, and here is what he replied:
“My salary as PCB chairman is zero. I Haven’t taken any unnecessary perks so far as chairman. I haven’t taken an entertainment allowance and spent just 2.5 lac rupees on my official tours as of yet,”
Raja also revealed that, unlike others, he did not even take any of his family members together on any tour for perks on the board’s budget. Ensuring that he never has taken any advantage of PCB Chairmanship, Ramiz, while speaking in the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Sports, commented that,
“I am here to work for cricket’s promotion. Neither I took my wife on any official tour nor benefited any of my relatives,”
He further revealed that his family did not want him to become PCB Chairman due to the reason that a chairman, for no reason, is based and accused under different charges.
“My family didn’t want me to accept PCB chairmanship. They knew, PCB chairman gets nothing except being called out every time,”
It must be noted that Raja recently turned down the speculations lashing out at reporters for creating fake headlines. He clarified he will stay as PCB Chairman and there is no such decision regarding sacking his position.
