Tragic Death of Rising Cricket Star Rajashree Swain in Cuttack Forest

In a shocking turn of events, Rajashree Swain, a cricketer from Odisha, was found dead in a forest in Cuttack. The 26-year-old had been missing since January 11th, and her body was discovered hanging from a tree in the Gurudijhatia forest.

The police started an investigation after a missing person report was filed at the Mangalabag police station. The body of the cricketer bore injury marks, and her scooter and mobile phone were found abandoned near the forest.

The family of the deceased cricketer has alleged that she was murdered. The police are investigating all angles of the incident and interviewing hotel staff, fellow players and others to uncover the truth behind her death.

Rajashree Swain was part of a training camp organized by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) in the Bajrakabati area. She missed out on making the final list for the Odisha state women’s cricket team and was missing in action from the day after the announcement.

The young cricketer was part of a team training for an upcoming national-level tournament scheduled to be held in Puducherry. Her death is a tragic loss for the sports community and her family.

The police have registered a case of unnatural death and are continuing the investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the death of Rajashree Swain.
