Shai Hope is the Player of the Match. He says that he believes the rhythm was a bit off today and he is overall happy with the team's performance. Adds that Nepal bowlers bowled well, especially with their spinners, and ends by saying that he is happy with both of their wins.
Stay tuned for presentations...
Earlier, it was all fireworks from the two Windies batters - Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran as they both scored a ton and made their side reach a mammoth total of 339 runs. For Nepal, Lalit Rajbanshi picked up three wickets as was the pick for them. Karan KC, Gulsan Jha, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Dipendra Singh Airee picked up a wicket a piece.
West Indies were all over Nepal's batters right from the start and they just never let them settle in the game. They picked up a wicket whenever a good partnership was brewing. Aarif Sheikh played a fine knock of 63 runs but it was just now enough. Gulsan Jha later played his cameo of 42 runs. Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers for the Windies side as he picked up three wickets. Alzarri Joseph, Keemo Paul and Akeal Hosein picked two wickets each while Kyle Mayers picked up the last one wicket.
Well, have to say this one a one-way traffic throughout the game. West Indies win the game comprehensively by a huge margin. Nepal showed some intent with the bat but just couldn't match the force of the Windies side!
