Right then! The games are coming thick and fast! The action in the CPL continues as Guyana Amazon Warriors will lock horns against Barbados Royals at 2.30 pm local (6.30 pm GMT). Do join us for that. Till then, goodbye and cheers!
Dwayne Bravo, the skipper of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots says, that he has a groin strain and will have a scan after reaching the team hotel. Adds that they were completely outplayed by their opposition in this game. Credits Faf du Plessis by saying that he is one of the best openers going around in the world and he is happy for him. Tells that he is very proud of his team as they have performed really well in the first five games and they are looking forward to the next game now.
Faf du Plessis is awarded the Man of the Match. Andre Fletcher takes the award on behalf of Faf. He says it was a brilliant innings from Faf especially after having a bad start to the tournament. Adds that he along with Faf wanted to give a solid start to their side. Feels that they were quite confident of defending a total of 224 runs.
....THE PRESENTATION...
Earlier in the day, it was some superb batting display from Faf du Plessis as he brought up his maiden franchise century. Roston Chase continued his fine form as well, as he scored a quick 64 off 31 balls. A target of 225 was always going to be hard and their bowlers just bowled in good lines and good lengths and didn't allow the opposition to take home two points.  Stay tuned for the presentation.
Brilliant bowling display from Saint Lucia Kings. Their batters had done an excellent job and they just had to carry on with the momentum. Alzarri Joseph started the proceedings as he removed both Thomas and the Universe Boss cheaply. Runs started flowing in the middle overs but they didn't let the opposition to get back on the front foot as Keemo Paul got the dangerous Evin Lewis and after that, it was just clearing the tail. Alzarri Joseph and Keemo Paul were the pick of the bowlers as they shared three wickets apiece.
It never looked like an easy chase for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots as other than Evin Lewis no one turned up. They did not have the best of starts as Devon Thomas and Chris Gayle departed cheaply. No one stayed out in the middle with Lewis and the pressure was clearly toiling on him. In the end, he also struggled to get the middle of the bat and he went back for a well-made 73 off 42 balls. They clearly missed the presence of Bravo as after getting injured during the 1st innings, he didn't turn up to bat.
A comprehensive victory for Saint Lucia Kings. Apart from Evin Lewis, no one else stepped up and they are handed their first loss of the tournament.
