Earlier in the match, for the Tigers, Afif Hossain struggled with a slow scoring rate, contributing 29 runs from 33 deliveries. Skipper Anamul Haque made a promising start but fell for 18 runs off 13 balls. Evin Lewis and Mahmudul Hasan Joy built a strong partnership of 57 runs whilst Wayne Parnell added a quick 20 runs from 11 balls in the slog overs posting a total of 164 runs. For the Victorians, Ali and Forde picked two while Islam and Rahman chipped in with one.
The Khulna Tigers started off well and Wayne Parnell gave them their first wicket in the form of Litton Das. Mukidul Islam and Nahid Rana sent back Will Jacks and Johnson Charles respectively but they had done the damage. The runs weren't enough to defend and Towhid Hridoy along with Jaker Ali got done with the chase without any problem. They needed to be more active in the field and with their catching.
What a convincing win for the defending champions Comilla Victorians. They lost Litton Das early in the inning but they didn't lift their foot off the gas. Will Jacks and Johnson Charles continued the attack and put the pressure on the bowlers. They built good aggressive partnerships but Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali put the final nail in the coffin, winning the match for their team.
