Brisbane Heat Women beat Hobart Hurricanes Women by 10 wickets
Georgia Redmayne has been adjudged the Player of the Match. That's all from this game! Brisbane Heat have achieved a complete victory over the Hobart Hurricanes. We are having a Super Over in progress between Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars. The Renegades are batting in the Super Over at the Sydney Showground stadium. Switch over tabs to catch all the action from that game. Cheers.
Earlier in the game, the Brisbane Heat bowlers were just top-notch. They were excellent and just did not let up. Every bowler contributed and bowled out Hobart for just 82. What to say about the batting performance from Hobart. None could get going and they played some poor shots and gave away some wickets. In the end, they were decimated by 10 wickets.
There was not a lot the bowlers of the Hurricanes could do. They started well and that would have given them some hope but once Redmayne went all guns blazing, they lost their lines and lengths and they were taken apart by the batsmen. None apart from Belinda Vakarewa looked threatening while their fielding was miserable. All-in-all, it was a horrendous performance from Hurricanes and they would want to forget this and come back stronger in the next game.
The target of 83 was never going to trouble the Heat batters but they started slowly. 9 runs in 4 overs with Harris struggling to get bat on the ball would have got some nerves in the Brisbane Heat dugout but after that, it was complete annihilation. Georgia Redmayne was at her brilliant best as she hit the ball to all parts of the ground and reached her 50 in just 28 balls. Grace Harris played second fiddle and they decimated their opponents by 10 wickets. This was as easy a win one could get and Brisbane Heat will be pleased with the effort.
Wow, what an easy victory for Brisbane Heat! They have handed an absolute thrashing to the Hurricanes! It was a complete performance from them and they have won with 10 wickets in hand and 50 balls to spare. Imagine the boost to their net run rate they have got courtesy their win.

DROPPED AND FOUR! It has been a terrible outing for Hobart in all the departments of the game. Short ball on middle, Redmayne pulls it to deep mid-wicket. The fielder settles herself under it but fails to hold on and what's worse, it has gone for a boundary.

FOUR! Redmayne moves to 48! Width provided by the bowler and Redmayne latches onto it. Back of a length ball outside off, Redmayne hammers it past the point fielder for a boundary.
DRINKS! After a strong showing with the ball first up, Brisbane Heat have shown it with the bat too. Their openers have added 60 runs and are in touching distance of gaining a win here. Hobart have been poor with the bat and now their bowlers are struggling to maintain consistency. The question is how long can they keep Brisbane out on the field. Let us find out after the break as Nicola Carey comes back into the attack.
