Right, that's all from this game! West Indies have set up their clash with India Legends in semi-final 1 while England Legends bow out. The semi-final 1 will be played on 17th March 2021 at 1900 local (1330 GMT). Do join us then. Take care and cheers.
Dwayne Smith is named the Man of the Match. He says that he was given the opportunity and he made full use of it. Adds that he has played Indian T20 League and he knows the Indian pitches well. Mentions that he was ready to bowl whenever he was given the ball. Ends by saying that he is excited to play against India in the semi-final.
West Indies Legends skipper, Brian Lara says that the guys played very well and he is proud of it. Adds that the batsmen did well to chase this total. Mentions that Dwayne Smith's three overs changed the game for them and he also gave them a great start with the bat. Further says that he will be playing the semi-final against India and he is fit to play that.
England Legends skipper, Kevin Pietersen, says that West Indies played really well and that they had played a match like this against India also last week. Adds that the guys have represented them really well. Mentions that the preparation they have had, they had a slim chance to make it to the semi-final. Further says that there were some misfields and they dropped some catches. Pietersen also says that with more preparation, this tournament is fantastic.
Stay tuned for the Presentation ceremony!
England Legends, on the other hand, would be disappointed with how things went as they were poor with the ball. They leaked far too many easy runs and they were punished. It seemed that they will make a comeback with some quick wickets but that was not to be as West Indies won on the last ball. Overall, a disappointing loss for England Legends.
West Indies Legends were superb at the start with Dwayne Smith hammering the bowlers to all parts of the ground. They did lose some wickets in the middle but Deonarine kept his calm and stayed till the end. There was drama in the final over when they needed 5 runs in 6 balls and then 1 in 2 balls but Lara was dismissed. A Super Over could have happened but Tino Best stayed cool and composed and took the one required to put West Indies into the semi-finals.
What a match! What a game! We have witnessed a match for the ages and it is West Indies Legends who scrape through and they will face India Legends in the first semi-final! This was a wonderful game and it was not short of entertainment. Ohh, what would we give to see these kind of matches all day long. Brilliant stuff from West Indies Legends.

OUT! STUMPED! Tredwell gets his first wicket! Flighted ball outside off, Lara comes down the track and looks to go big but misses it. It goes towards the keeper where Mustard takes the bails off. Replays show that Lara was way outside his crease.

Full delivery outside off and he drives it to the right of long on for a couple. A few more yards to his right and Deonarine would have probably sealed the game for Windies.

OUT! Caught! A wicket against the run of play! Length ball on the stumps and Edwards chips it straight to Shah at mid-wicket. Is there life still in this game? A super over perhaps?
