Right then! We are done with the three games today. The action though continues in Abu Dhabi T10 League on 30th January, 2021. Once again its a triple header and it is weekend. We hope to get your company for that games. The action begins with Bangla Tigers taking on Maratha Arabians. The action starts at 1600 local (1200 GMT). Till then, cheers and take care.
Kieron Pollard, Deccan Gladiators skipper says that he is very proud. Says that he was a bit disappointed to get out in the last over. He praises his team and says that the boys played well for the two points. He further says that they try to execute as much as they can. Mentions that they try to get on top of the bowlers while batting. Ends by saying that they don't know what will happen after two days, they may be carted for runs so they just look to execute their plans well.
ZAHOOR KHAN IS NAMED THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH!
Earlier after opting to field, Deccan Gladiators were all over Team Abu Dhabi as they kept on taking wickets and never allowed Team Abu Dhabi to make a comeback into the game with the bat. Imtiaz Ahmed struck twice in the opening over of Team Abu Dhabi's innings as Zahoor Khan took it from there and ended with a 3-fer. Rest of the bowlers also bowled well and their fielders held onto the catches which meant that Team Abui Dhabi ended with 95 runs and lost 9 wickets in the process. That total proved too little to defend as Gladiators overhauled it though in a dramatic fashion but a win is a win and Team Abu Dhabi will have to wait to get a win until their next game. Stay tuned for the presentation...
When the batsmen do not post a total, the bowlers turn helpless, especially in the T10 format. Such was the case with Team Abu Dhabi after their batters failed to post a handy total. Still, they fought hard and managed to get four of Gladiators' wickets which was not enough in the end. If not for Jamie Overton's double strike in the final over, the game could have ended on the second ball itself of the last over. Usman Shinwari and Rohan Mustafa were brilliant with the ball as they bowled with an economy of under 10. The latter got a wicket too as Jamie Overton ended with a 3-wicket haul.
Chasing 96 in 10 overs is not a big deal, and with wickets in hand, it all the more becomes a cakewalk. Mohammad Shahzad and Cameron Delport started on a watchful note as they settled out to stitch a 43-run stand before Shahzad departed. Though Delport, continued to bat along with Pollard as the duo stitched another 43-run stand before Delport was sent packing. Then what looked like an easy win, Jamie Overton's last over created all the drama as he sent Pollard and Khan on consecutive deliveries but Narine made sure that the Gladiators go onto win the game there.
That was a one-sided affair as Deccan Gladiators romped home with six wickets to spare and open their win account. A sheer complete performance from them both with the bat as well as the ball.

FOUR! That is that! After a small drama Deccan Gladiators complete the job. Short delivery outside off, Narine looks to cut but gets an outside edge. It goes over the keeper towards third man for a boundary. DECCAN GLADIATORS WIN BY 6 WICKETS!
Who comes out to face the Hat-Trick ball? Sunil Narine walks in to bat now?

OUT! CAUGHT! Overton gets two-in-two! Short of a length delivery on leg, Khan looks to pull but gets a top edge. It goes towards the keeper where Duckett moves to his left and takes a good catch.
Is there a twist in tale here? With just 2 runs required who will walk out to bat? Prashant Gupta it is.
