That concludes the proceedings for this match. Next up, on Tuesday, it's a crunch game for Hobart Hurricanes who will take on Melbourne Renegades. The action will begin at 1.45 pm IST (8.15 am GMT) but you can join us in advance for the build-up. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!
Mitchell Marsh is chosen for the Player of the Match award for his incredible knock. The Aussie all-rounder says that it's wonderful to bat like this and it feels great to be back in the side and contribute. Mentions that he is hopeful to continue on his merry way and have some more fun. Tells that he doesn't know where they are going to play next but wherever they play, he will try to do his best and contribute as much as he can with both the bat and ball.
Perth Scorchers started the chase superbly with Kurtis Patterson showing ruthless form. He along with Josh Inglis laid the foundation but their innings stuttered a bit after the departure of both the openers. The run rate kept on mounting as the pair of Mitchell Marsh and Colin Munro took time to settle down. 70 runs were required off 48 balls when the Scorchers decided to take the Power Surge and the landscape of this match changed drastically. Marsh faced all the 12 balls of the Surge and amassed 36 runs to bring down the equation to 34 needed off 36 balls. He stroked a valuable fifty and his 84-run stand with Munro was enough to take the game away from Brisbane's reach. The Kiwi was a bit scratchy during his stay but he would be happy to spend some time in the middle and contribute to a match-winning partnership. Both the spinners of the Heat, Matthew Kuhnemann and Mitchell Swepson, were impressive but the rest of the bowlers weren't up to the mark.
Victory for Perth Scorchers and they finish their league round with a thumping win! A clinical game for them. They were put to the sword early on when Max Bryant went bonkers but the Perth bowlers showed great character to bounce back after the Powerplay to stop Brisbane's charge. Some late hitting from Jimmy Peirson helped the Heat to cross the 150-run mark but eventually, it didn't turn out to be enough. This is now their fifth defeat in a row and they have only one game left to end their campaign on a happy note.

OUT! TAKEN! Colin Munro is annoyed with himself. Just 9 runs needed but he has to depart now. Short and wide, outside off. Colin Munro hangs back and scythes it through the line. He picks the backward point fielder to perfection though as Michael Neser there takes one of the easiest catches.
