Yesterday, Pakistan team played their first warm up match against New Zealand. Although Pakistan team lost this match but Pakistan took many positive’s from this match.

Saud Shakeel was a big positive sign for Pakistan team. The left handed batter scored 75 runs in just 53 deliveries while coming at No 5. Shakeel alsoplayed some aggressive shorts in this innings.

Former Indian player Irfan Pathan on sharing his thoughts about Saud Shakeel tweeted:

For team Pakistan, Saud Shakeel was a big positive they need someone in middle order who can be solid. He looked in control.

For team Pakistan Saud Shakeel was big positive they need some one in middle order who can be solid. He looked in control. and for team New Zealand it was Rachin Ravindra’s batting n Cane Williamson getting a much needed game time. #PAKvsNZ

Salman Ali Agha was given chance at No 5 in Asia cup.  Pakistan team also have a solid batter like Iftikhar Ahmad at No 6. But Agha batted at No 6 yesterday.

So, there’s a tough competition between Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha for No 5 spot. Moreover, Pakistan team is not interested in changing their No 6 batter Iftikhar Ahmad. Although, Iftikhar Ahmad didn’t batted yesterday but he is surely first choice for team Pakistan.

Some fans are also very angry that there was no logo on Shakeel’s bat. No bat manufacturing company sponsored Saud shakeel.
