India lost to South Africa on purpose: Fans

After Pakistan lost two back-to-back encounters of the Super 12 round against India and Zimbabwe, respectively, their chances to qualify for the semifinal were reliant on other teams’ wins and losses apart from winning all remaining games themselves. More than anyone, Pakistan had hopes bound with India since their victories in leftover encounters are directly proportional to Pakistan’s chances of qualification.

However, India failed to manage things against South Africa on Sunday, and the fans evaluate that this has been done on purpose to evacuate Pakistan from the World Cup. Notably, the lookouts saw some very rare moments in Ind vs SA encounter that looked deliberately committed. It includes Rohit Sharma missing out on the run-out and Virat Kohli dropping the catch. Meanwhile, Ravi Ashwin is wondering how it happened.

Indian cricket pages themselves have been accepting the truth, believes the Pakistani fans.

Before moving ahead, it must be mentioned that Pakistan’s chances to qualify for the semifinal are now even thinner. Despite winning against South Africa and Bangladesh, they will want South Africa vs Netherlands to be washed away or the Netherlands winning it or hoping for India to lose against Bangladesh. But, Pakistanis have no hopes left from Indians since they believe the men in blue will do exactly against what they want.

Besides this, Pakistan would also want that Zimbabwe do not win any of their remaining games so Babar Azam and co’s chances are further polished for the semifinal.

Meanwhile, as far as Ind vs SA is concerned, India batted first and could only gather 133 on the loss of nine wickets. It was crystal clear that the score would be below par when they were five down on 50. The Proteas chased it with the courtesy of men in blue’s fielding, eventually knocking Pakistan almost out of the tournament.
